Top Ten Ranking for 窪蹋勛圖 Aerospace

The Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences at the 窪蹋勛圖 has received major recognition as a top ten aerospace program, according to U.S. News & World Report.

窪蹋勛圖s aerospace graduate program is ranked No. 8 in the nation and No. 5 among public institutions whose highest degree is a doctorate, according to the publications annual Best Graduate Schools issue.

We here at 窪蹋勛圖 have known for years the role weve played in the states aerospace industry, said Robert H. Davis, Dean. It is gratifying to see national publications such as U.S. News & World Report recognize that our College of Engineering and Applied Science is doing more than providing an education for students. We are helping drive the states economy and the nations aerospace industry.

The state of Colorado is a leading center in the aerospace field, and 窪蹋勛圖 plays a critical role. Colorado has the nations third largest aerospace economy and more private aerospace jobs per capita than any state in the country. 窪蹋勛圖 40 percent of 窪蹋勛圖 aerospace graduates remain in the state, taking jobs with local aerospace companies.

In total, four of 窪蹋勛圖s engineering programs earned top 20 rankings:

  • Aerospace: No. 5 among public institutions, No. 8 overall
  • Chemical: No. 9 among public institutions, No. 15 overall
  • Civil: No. 16 among public institutions, No. 24 overall
  • Environmental: No. 14 among public institutions, No. 21 overall

The U.S. News & World Report graduate program rankings are based on academic peer assessment, corporate and corporate recruiter reviews, student selectivity, faculty resources, and research activity. Engineering programs at 194 colleges and universities were reviewed for the rankings.
